LI DIUEN MAR
(PRIMER MOVIMENT)
Co-produced by the Grec 2016 Festival de Barcelona and Teatre Tantarantana.
From 27, 28 and 29 May and 1, 2 and 3 July 2016 | Season 2015-2016.
Li diuen mar (First movement) investigates the idea of the journey based on the intimate, social and political experiences of the participants. The show was performed in two different formats: Li diuen mar (First Movement), from 27 to 29 May in the Baixos 22 hall of the Tantarantana Theatre, showed the result of the artistic work of the pupils of the two secondary schools, the grandparents of the neighbourhood and the grandparents linked to the Fundació Arrels: in total, about forty people on stage, who carried the central weight of the stage creation throughout eight months of creative workshop.
Li diuen mar (Second Movement) was seen from 1 to 3 July at the CCCB Theatre as part of the Grec Festival in Barcelona, and consisted of the large-format version of the show, with the incorporation of the young participants of the Habitación 1418 workshop (CCCB-MACBA) and the members of the Clavé XXI choir. A celebration of the exchange of life and artistic experiences through joint and festive creation.
